Overview:
One month project I helped with during my consulting with SPR. I was one of four designers on the project. The pages listed below were a collaborative effort between UX and UI designers. I was also involved with the user testing after the designs were approved by business.
Challenge:
Design a new landing and product page while keeping the business and users needs in mind to provide for the developers. The screens had a rushed eight week timeline and had to be developed before the new sprint.
Process:
Designing from an existing portal and working closely with the product owners to review and get feedback on our new enhancements. My role was to improve the existing interactive pages that were already designed in Axure and provide a brand new product page while referring to the current portal. During the interactive designs I would work closely with the visual designers to help them understand all of the interactions.
Outcome:
The user testing feedback on both designs was positive and helped the product team validate their assumptions. Users were able to navigate and get their tasks completed with no confusion. However there were minor changes users were concerned with that needed to be considered for the upcoming release. Despite the minor changes the developers were able to implement the new designs and put the minor changes as a priority for next release.
